Budget Chic

One of my 2012 New Year's Resolutions was to embrace color. I tend toward the black and gray, oftentimes completely forgetting vibrant hues just waiting to be worn. This is yet another outfit of many contradictions. Happy weekend dear friends!

Downtown Franklin

There is something so sweet about revisiting childhood places and falling in love with them all over again. Here is my Saturday frolicking in Downtown Franklin.

First stop! Visiting the Lala at Franklin Tea. Could she look more perfect behind a tea counter? Ask her anything! She is an 80-year-old woman inside.

Franklin Theater has $5 movies almost every day. Such a treat and very well-preserved history. I saw 'An Affair to Remember' there and practically drooled all over myself. 

Favorite boutique! Haven. This afternoon they were having a hat affair, displaying the designs of Cha Cha, a unique and talented hatter. Complete with champagne and a cheese spread.

I love coral. So much. Too expensive. Iron Gate.

Favorite places. Meridee's chicken salad sandwich, obviously.

Haven clothes. For now I'll just admire them and come back when I have loads of money.

Summer Lovin'

A little Motown record playing on the back porch of my new house! Is there anything more blissful? This is my tribute to circa 1960's hair and make up, done by the beautiful and talented Hayley Rose Maurer. Happy Easter!

Romper Romp

It's never too early to break out the romper in my humbly petite opinion. The easiest of summer get-ups, a romper, also referred to as a 'onesie,' serves as an entire outfit without fussing over two or three pieces to create a look. I own too many, but this one is my favorite. Peter Pan collar and Parisian-inspired red stripes, this particular romper is embarrassingly from Forever 21.
